Hope for the Home Front: Winning the Emotional and Spiritual Battles of a Military Wife By Marshele Carter Waddell

I really enjoyed reading this book until about Chapter 8, and then it was difficult to get through the remainder. I'm not sure why, but it's a good read and could offer a lot of encouragement for military spouses. 1596690321 ::sigh::
My husband is deployed and I received this as a gift. These days all I see is the miserable aspects of military life. I have a negative perspective and am perpetually depressed about my situation. I had hoped reading this would tell me it gets better, and that there is hope, but instead the author wrote about how her husband's entire career has been one heart-break after the other. Her entire marriage has subordinated her and disappointed her. The only hope she offered was spiritual and scriptural. Basically, this woman expects no reward except that which she receives in heaven. Like another reviewer said, I was also looking for something more practical. All I want to do is get out of the military more than ever. English
