Item showed up and was in great condition. Was vary happy with the speed in which it was delivered. A really excellent handbook for anyone who wants to be able to run idea generating and decision making meetings and workshops. Explains lots of different approaches: when they should be used and why they work. Sam Kaner Zunächst zum Äußeren: Das Buch wirkt nicht besonders einladend und wirkt unübersichtlich, es wurde kein Wert auf gutes Layout gelegt, visuell herrscht ein wilder Mix aus Stilelementen, und die Illustrationen lassen erahnen, dass der Autor nicht so schnell zum Punkt kommen wird. Für ein Buch in dritter Auflage ist das schade.Und das ist auch tatsächlich so: anstatt über partizipative Entscheidungen zu sprechen, werden erstmal auf 150 Seiten Basics der Moderation besprochen. Ganz nett, gibt es aber woanders besser. Und kürzer.Beim Thema Entscheidungsfindung wird es dann auch inhaltlich schwierig, es geht hier viel um sustainable decisions, ohne die größte Herausforderung bezüglich Entscheidungen zu komplexen Themen überhaupt anzusprechen: das Ergebnis einer Entscheidung können immer nur Annahmen sein, die dann gemeinsam empirisch validiert und mit den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen die Entscheidung weiterentwickelt wird. Diese Geisteshaltung ändert den Zugang zum Thema drastisch, und das einer Gruppe zugänglich zu machen ist alleine bereits ein mächtigerer Hebel, den das Buch völlig ignoriert.Wenn man sich mit moderneren Ideen zum Thema Gruppenentscheidung beschäftigen will, empfehle ich das Buch Gamestorming (Fokus auf Workshop Design), oder Liberating Structures (moderene Techniken für Gruppen) und Soziokratie (insbesondere Soziokratie 3.0), dort speziell die Gruppenprozesse zu Vorbereitung, Durchführung und Entwicklung von Entscheidungen. Liberating Structures und Soziokratie 3.0 sind beide auch in deutscher Sprache unter einer Creative Commons Lizenz frei verfügbar. Useful Facilitators Guide to Participatory Decision-Making (Jossey-bass Business Management Series) Excellent book on facilitation skills, activities to engage small and large groups, how to facilitate a group through the 'rough and confusing' spots in a discussion, how to help a group reach consensus, how to put together an agenda and how to coach others in consensus building. I love this book. It's very practical with lots of good tips and methods that work. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to become a better facilitator and help groups explore issues and reach agreement. Sam Kaner
